    Description

    Vintage String of Pearls necklace in original fitted case.  This String of Pearls came out of a local estate sale witch included a lot of other fine high value vintage jewelry.  I do not know much about vintage jewelry, but some local collectors have told me it is pre-WWII period, possibly Art Nouveau or Deco, and the pearls are real, not faux or plastic.  Silver catch is hallmarked '.925' and has small green stone in center, seems to have original string which is still good, not rotten.  String is about 15" long.  The case is brown leather with gilt trim which has darkened with age, lining white silk and black velvet, fitted for string of pearls.  No damage.  The pearls are real; not artificial, but I do now know how to grade them.  They are clean and have a very nice luster.  Be glad to answer any questions you might have.
