Blue Mountain Pottery DOLPHIN/PORPOISE Figurines
Matched Set of 2 Paired Pieces, both identical size- "mantel size" is gorgeous on top of a mantel, bookshelves, etc. Stunning as a set.
Leaping Dolphins/Porpoise on an art-deco styled base
Classic Colors Of Green Blue drip glaze marbled and swirled into the body and shading towards black on the base
These particular dolphins have EXCEPTIONAL COLORATION- see pics
Size Of Each Is Approx: 16.5"Long,
10" Tall x 5" Wide
Excellent vintage condition
No chips, nicks, cracks, crazing or damage to either . Glaze is shiny and glossy. On dolphin #1, One small area at base on left side where glaze skipped so the red clay pottery is exposed- this is a flaw from the painting process and NOT damage. See last 2 pics. 3 tiny [approx. 1" ] SHALLOW light surface scratches up near the fin which do NOT go down to the green glaze and are impossible to see unless you are looking for them.
This is a great set for a collector, a lot of style and presence and would look GREAT on display! Very sturdy and heavy.
Please note- any white spots that appear to be on the dolphin is simply reflections on the glossy glaze from my camera light, there are no white spots on these pieces.
Shipping cost reflects that these are SUPER HEAVY pieces and they will be packed meticulously to insure a safe arrival
Blue Mountain was an Art Pottery company from Canada that was in business from 1947-2004. Pieces are getting more collectible with time.
