This is a charming Blue Mountain Pottery (BMP) Cobalt Blue Dolphin figurine, with its tail up in an action oriented pose. The glaze is mottled, adding dimensionality. Blue Mountain Pottery is red ware, which is easily seen when looking at the bottom. This item was made in Ontario, Canada.

About Blue Mountain Pottery
Blue Mountain Pottery is one of Canada's, and Ontario's, best known ceramic producers. The studio was started by Jozo Weider, an immigrant from Czechoslovakia, and is named after its location, at the foot of the Blue Mountains in Collingwood in the early 1950s. It was in operation until 2005.
