BLUE MOUNTAIN POTTERY drip glazed ceramic GREEN DOLPHIN leaping FIGURINE Canada

Description

Offered for sale is a beautiful drip-glazed ceramic LEAPING DOLPHIN figurine. The glaze is a deep rich blue-green color, with streaks of black. It has a glossy finish, and the color is slightly variable. It was made in Canada, by Blue Mountain Pottery.  It is hollow inside (picture 4). There is no mark to indicate the maker, but the Blue Mountain drip glaze is like no other maker's glaze.
The dolphin measures 7 inches (17.8cm) long, and stands 4 1/2 inches (11.4cm) tall to the tip of the dolphin's dorsal fin.  A U.S. quarter is shown in the third picture, to give an accurate impression of the size at a glance.
Figurine has no chips, cracks, scratches, or repairs, and there is no discoloration or crazing visible.
